A mammoth full album megamix featuring all twelve songs from the UK edition of the Kings Of The Wild Frontier LP. Initially this mix came about as an afterthought following a failed attempt to produce a Wonderful album megamix! A little dodgy in places, but a brave effort.

2. Adam Ant vs Eric B & Rakim - Beautiful Dream Got Soul Pumped Up Volume Remix]
[09:25]

Adam Ant - Beautiful Dream [single version]
Eric B & Rakim - I Know You Got Soul [acapella]

So there Carty was, randomly listening to a load of acapellas, when on came I Know You Got Soul by New York rap duo, Eric B & Rakim. He's been a fan of Rakim's rapping ever since hearing this back in 1987. The decision to pair this up with Beautiful Dream wasn't a hard one. The version used here is the very rare radio version, taken from the one track radio promo CD. Adam's vocals are re-recorded for the single (which was never released).

In fact, this remix is Carty's SECOND attempt The original of this mix was lost in the depths of cyberspace following a PC crash at Carty Towers. A copy of it was sent to Texi for her opinion, but she'd deleted it after knowing he had more work to do on it! Numerous emails asking about the missing 2nd track off Volume 3 of the Carty Mixes, so a complete rework with his new software (Ableton) was required. The result is a slightly shorter (SLIGHTLY), but far superior version of the mix with R&B drums and a sample from Martin Luther King at the end.

3. Carty - House Of Cars (Part 1) [Demo 2]

Carty - House Of Cars (Part 1)
Adam & The Ants - Cartrouble (Part 1) [original album version]

A new experimental direction taken, thanks to Marco suggesting Carty try something different. On first listen, you'd swear this has nothing remotely to do with Antmusic (apart from the obvious sample added at the last minute). This dance track is based around Adam & the Ants' Cartrouble Part 1. In fact, if you start singing the words when the sweeping cymbal comes in....you'll find it fits perfectly! (Try it for yourself!)

Initially there were no Ant samples in this, but I felt it necessary to add one small snippet to warrant inclusion on Volume 3 of the Carty Mixes. One of the highlights is the part during when Adam would normally be singing "pray for me".

As far as the title of the track goes? Well "ty" is Welsh for "house"...so "Car-ty" could be translated as "house of car(s)".

4. Adam & The Ants vs Carty - Cartrouble (Part 1) [Carty's Not A Marta Remix]
[05:18]

Carty - House Of Cars (Part 1)
Adam & The Ants - Cartrouble (Part 1) [original album version]
Carty was so impressed with his complete remake of Cartrouble (Part 1) in the guise of House Of Cars, that he decided to add samples of Adam's vocals from the Dirk original. This created a new remix, even though that was not the initial intention.

5. Adam Ant vs The Spice Girls - Wannabe [Hot 'n' Spicy Remix]
[03:41]
Free Download
Spice Girls - Wannabe [Instrumental]
Adam Ant - Wannabe [Live at Westminster University]

Please don't ask what possessed Carty to even think of this, but seeing as it was getting close to Christmas, he must have had his silly season head on! Based around the ultra rare instrumental version of the Spice Girls' Wannabe, and Adam's live version of the same song from 1997. It can be fair to say that many consider this to be Adam's worst vocal performance. Hopefully this has made it that little bit more worse!

6. Adam & The Ants - Digital Tenderness [Out Of The Blue Remix]
[05:49]

Michael Jackson - They Don't Care About Us
Adam & The Ants - Digital Tenderness [album version]
Roxy Music - Out Of The Blue

If anyone has heard Roxy Music's Out Of The Blue, they will know that the intro drum pattern matches that of Digital Tenderness. (Seeing as Roxy Music influenced Adam, it's seems this track influenced the Dirk Wears White Sox song). Carty had been toying with the idea of adding the drumbeat from They Don't Care About Us by Michael Jackson, which matched the two tunes...but early demos failed to impress him. After much perseverance, it all came together (as any orgy should).

7. Adam & The Ant - Do It Dirk Megamix [Part 1 Reloaded]

Adam & The Ants - Tabletalk [album version]
Adam & The Ants - Physical [Antmusic EP version]
Adam & The Ants - Whip In My Valise [B-side version]
Adam & The Ants - Nine Plan Failed [album version]
Adam & The Ants - Never Trust A Man (With Egg On His Face) [album version]
Adam & The Ants - Cleopatra [album version]
Adam & The Ants - Friends [Antmusic EP version]
Adam & The Ants - Family Of Noise [album version]

Back in 2004, someone suggested Carty produce a Dirk megamix! He dug out his list of Dirk and Do It BPMs and looked at the possibility. It was obvious this was going to be a two part megamix, if it ever was to exist. He got to work and came up with this 28 minute attempt. All the songs listed appear on the Do It label, so it's not just tracks from Dirk Wears White Søx (although they did appear on the 2004 remastered Dirk, released after this mix). Due to Dave Barbe's erratic drumming, beat matching was tough!

Shortly after the megamix was made public, Carty withrew it as he wasn't happy with it. However, due to popular demand he re-created the megamix using new software (hence the "reloaded" bit), and re-edited the tracks. (Well it was 10 minutes longer originally!)
